  • GFM Poster: Bring to meeting

A panel will select outstanding entries based on artistic value, scientific content, and originality. The winning entries will be published as a special supplement to Physical Review Fluids. The top three winners in each category will be presented the Milton van Dyke Award  – consisting of a small monetary prize; a copy of the Album of Fluid Motion; and an award certificate.

The contributions will be displayed in Exhibit Hall B-2 of the Georgia World Congress Center. The award-winning entries will be announced on Monday, November 19th during the refreshment break.

You can view the 2017 GFM winning entries and the 2018 GFM videos and posters once they have been uploaded at this website.

Please bring your poster to the Meeting.  You will be able to hang it between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Saturday, November 17th or between 6:30 am and Noon on Sunday, November 18th in the Exhibit Hall B-2 of the Georgia World Congress Center. Posters must be placed before Noon on Sunday, November 18th, in order to be eligible for the competition judging.

There will be a central information and supply table with pushpins and velcro in the Exhibit Hall. (If you need anything else to mount your poster, you need to bring it.)  Please confirm you are putting your poster in the correct location for the GFM Posters and not in the Technical Poster Section.

Your poster has a number which will be up on the board.  You can find out your number in the program which will be at the information desk.  Put your poster in the right place and remember you have a little less than one-half of an 8-foot long x 4-foot high poster board, i.e., 45″ x 45″, available for mounting.  Do not let your poster spread into someone else’s space. Any poster shipping tubes or carriers left by the poster boards will be discarded. Please take any tubes with you after you hang your poster.

Poster authors must be by their board during the Refreshment Break on Monday, November 19th. Exact time will be posted when the program is set. Prize winners will be announced at this time.

Presenters must take down their posters by 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 20th. Any posters left after 1:00 pm will be discarded. 2
